Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC): (1) Self-renewal and multi-lineage differentiation potential; (2) Isolated from the bone marrow, fatty tissue, placenta, umbilical cord, umbilical cord blood, pancreas, dental pulp, and synovial fluid etc; (3) Used for regenerative medicine. UC-MSC,P-MSC,BM-MSC are similar in Plastic adherence capacity expression level of a panel of MSC antigens, osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation potential. There exists significant difference on migration capacity among MSC derived from these three origins.Lower endogenous expression of PAI-1 and higher migration capacity were found in BM- and P-MSC than those of UC-MSC.A panel of migration-related proteins is pivotal in governing the migration capacity of MSC. Ethanol extract of Fructus Ligustri Lucidi (EFLL) promotes osteogenic differentiation of human BM-MSC.
